Manisa's travertines cover the world

Yusuf Yalçın, General Manager of Cemar Marble and Travertine, which operates in the Kula district of Manisa and exports travertine stone to all corners of the world, said that they are in a very good position in exports and that the service provided to the domestic market has begun to increase with the widespread use of travertine stone in the domestic market.

Travertine stones, which are preferred for their ability to keep cool in summer and warm in winter and their natural appearance, have begun to increase rapidly in every area where human beings live. Cemar Marble and Travertine, one of the leading companies in the sector, continues to export travertine stones from the Kula district of Manisa to all over the world, while also meeting the increase in demand in the domestic market.

Three generations of experience

Yusuf Yalçın, General Manager of Cemar Marble and Travertine in the Kula district of Manisa, which has the largest reserve in Turkey, said, "Our reserve is the largest reserve in Turkey and one of the few reserves in the world. Currently, the quarry where our stones and travertines are produced is the quarry that produces the most variety in terms of product range, first of all, in Turkey. This is a huge advantage for us. In addition, we produce excellent workmanship with the latest technology devices in our production facility. One of the biggest reasons why we are doing such a good job both in the quarry and in the factory is that the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Ahmet Öksüz, is the 3rd generation in this sector. When 3 generations do this job, of course, the quality and difference that comes with this experience and knowledge emerges. We try to reflect this in all our activities around the world as much as we can. I also think we reflect it. "There is no stopping, we have to run constantly," he said.

"There is no country in the world to which we do not export"

Underlining that they are in a very good position in exports, Yalçın said, "We are in a very good position in exports. As the value of this stone becomes more known in the domestic market, we are trying to increase our service to the local market. There is potentially no country in the world to which we do not export. We export mostly to European countries, especially France. "We also send it to America, we send it to Israel and Brazil," he said.

"It is used everywhere where human beings live."

Stating that there has been an increase in the use of travertine, especially with the preference for natural life, Yalçın said, "Travertine is used everywhere where human beings live. "It is applied wherever there are people, but it is highly preferred in large facilities such as open areas, pools and hotels, especially in detached villas and open areas of villas," he said.

Cool in summer, warm in winter

Pointing out that one of the most important features of travertine stone, in addition to its natural appearance, is heat-related, Yalçın completed his statement as follows: "Our stone has a feature. Those who have been there know that the stones in Cappadocia, Göreme and Ürgüp keep you warm in winter and cool in summer. Our stone is the stone closest to this feature. That's why we have a difference and its natural appearance."
